In 1961, the Soviet Union conducted the largest nuclear detonation in history—the Tsar Bomba. This massive hydrogen bomb, with a yield of 50 megatons, was dropped from a specially modified Tupolev Tu-95 bomber. Designed to demonstrate Soviet nuclear capability, the explosion was so powerful that it shattered windows over 900 km away and produced a fireball visible from space.The Tu-95, a long-range strategic bomber, was modified to carry and release the bomb safely. @OACOTEOC actually they limited the operational power because if the third stage pusher detonator was made of uranium, the stage would among other things, multiply by 2 the original 50 megaton power but at the cost of spreading massive (really, enormous amounts) of radiation that would have remained to this days, because of this, the Russian committee working on the project decided replacing it with a lead pusher and subsequently transforming the previous 100mt “dirty” bomb into a clean one that nearly didn’t release radiation and had a more modest output power of 50mt (still absolutely insane). The explosion was so big that could cause you nearly deadly burns and injuries at about 300km, to put it on perspective, if the bomb dropped was the “dirty” one, it would have been able to destroy an area with the size of Spain and making it un inhabitable for more than 30 years (minimum (aprox.)). It remains the most powerful nuclear weapon ever built to this day.

@OACOTEOC the original plan for the mission was to drop the bomb and watch it from the plane, but due to the distance limit of 10km it simply wasnt possible( it is possible if you tweak with the settings but I realized that not everybody can or wants to do that)when I dropped the bomb it quickly surpassed the 10km limit so it never detonated, the only way to get the explosion was to 'be' the bomb itself. If ou want to ou can set your distance to like 33km or something and switch to the plane quickly after dropping(and ou dont dontroll the bomb, it just fals), I hope that helped

Quick Question, am I supposed to control the bomb, wait for it to detonate and then switch back to the plane? Also the plane pitches down after you (WATER BUCKET) RELEASE 🔥🗣️🗣️🔥🗣️🔥🗣️🔥 the bomb so if I’m controlling the bomb because it takes a long time to detonate I can’t then switch back to the plane because it’s flown itself into the ground because it pitches down, anyone in the comments know how to fix this?

It was originally supposed to be 100 megatons but they used lead instead of uranium for one of the things (I forget) so the yield was lower because one of the main scientists on the project was actually against the use of nuclear weapons and the testing of them.
