    @JNOFriend While I don't use the stock system, I'm pretty sure Cylero has a somewhat thicker atmosphere than Mars, and on Mars every lander sent has used an aeroshell

    @VoidAerospace The atmosphere is very thin and only suitable for retrograde landing.

    @JNOFriend There's a lander, and landers sent to bodies with atmospheres have to have what's called an Aeroshell, consisting of a heat shield and backshell
