A super heavy-lift launch vehicle, per NASA's definition.
$38m
For 100t to LDO.
Fly this empty,
And it's a SSTO.
Uses KAL 1.2.1.
There's a 50t dead weight payload, so the performance numbers you see are factoring that in. But if you only want 50t to LDO, you can use a discount version of this.
**The booster is recoverable if you switch after upper stage circularises. Lock the booster prograde. The heat shielding is on the interstage, there's none on the fuel tanks or engines.
Sure, if you change the delta nozzles to bells, you can save $1m, but why do that.
Sidebar: only the central engine gimbals, and during the gravity turn it was burning the engines that weren't moving. That's been fixed. The fin control surfaces and gyro help the booster on re-entry, but also help it on launch.
The radius of the main rocket is 2.5m or 250cm. That's why R.250. I categorize my rockets by size first. If I ever upload my R.100 (a decent smallsat / cubesat launcher), you already know roughly how big that is.
