The Plane

The C-16 is a Heavy Fighter designed by Akyanisch, an Asharian company.
This version features insignia and paint job from the IKAF (Imperial Kengawan Air Force), in it's traditional beige and black colour scheme

The C-16 features 2 seats, the rear one being the gunner position, it's engine is a V12 (You can see this in-game!)
The plane had a relatively troubled early development, the original plan called for a radial 9-cylinder engine, though a V12 was deemed more suitable for the job.

It also has a variant, the C-16N, which is the carrier version of the C-16, it was made in the 1920's to serve the Asharian Navy's early CVs.

Service in the IKAF

The C-16 was first comissioned by the IKAF in 1916, to protect it's home islands, however it ended up fighting Deustches Nordreich ships, after they tried sneaking through the Kengawan islands, they were spotted a few days prior by a Cruiser patrol.

The C-16 acted as a Heavy Fighter and Bomber (For the IKAF) and as a Torpedo Bomber (for the IKN -Imperial Kengawan Navy) during the Skirmishes between the DNR and Kengawa, proving to be quite good for it's roles.

The C-16 was retired in 1933 by the IKAF, and 3 years later, in 1936 by the IKN, it went through a modernization program in the mid-1920's, though by 1933 it was showing it's age, and most C-16's were relegated to trainer roles anyways.

About 20 still remain as museum pieces, 5 are in working order and regularly fly as part of air shows in Kengawa, Asharia, Hellinya and Neblium.
