Lore:
*April 30th, 1975, Viet-Cong troops are overtaking the sud-vietnamese and american forces. After 20 years of war, the US military starts evacuating the city of Saigon, nowadays Ho Chi Minh city, in an operation nicknamed Frequent Wind. The number of people that needed to leave was enormous, and US carrier Midway soon got the runway and storage full of UH-1A Iroquois “Huey” helicopters. Unable to receive more people as there was no place to land, the crew began trowing helicopters to the sea, making more room for others to arrive. After leaving the passengers, the pilots took off and jumped out of the helicopters to later be picked up by lifeboats from the carrier. An exceptional thing that happened that day was a stolen cessna O-1 plane that sucessfully landed on the carrier with a full family inside the 2 seater craft. The people at charge of the carrier did not count how many helicopters they had ditched to prevent complaints from their superiors regarding to the cost of that aircraft.
