The Titan IIIB Ascent Agena was a modified Titan II with an Ascent Agena upper stage. The Titan IIIB had three stages. The first stage used a LR87-9 engine. The second stage used a LR91 engine. The Ascent Agena third stage used a XLR81 engine. The fairing was mounted on top of the second stage, and the Ascent Agena and payload sat inside the fairing. The Titan IIIB also had another version with a normal Agena upper stage called the Titan IIIB Agena. The Titan IIIB Ascenf Agena was a part of the Titan Rocket Family, which consisted of the Titan I, Titan II, Titan II SLV, Titan II GLV, Titan IIIA, Titan IIIB Agena, Titan IIIB Ascent Agena, Titan IIIC, Titan IIID, Titan IIIE, Titan IVA, and Titan IVB.
