Here is a short 5 min vid of me constructing a 12 module colony on Luna in my vanilla career game:

Colonizing worlds colony/outpost assembly vehicle

Vehicle pre-loaded on ARTEMIS transport (for ARTEMIS controls refer to ship download).

CAV slides under colony modules and lifts them up, and moves them into position to be connected.
Build an offworld colony anywhere in career mode.

Controls:
-AG 1 - lights
-pitch - forward/reverse
-roll - turn left/right
-slider 1 - push loaded modules forward with hydraulic pistons
-slider 2 - raise/lower vehicle chassis

How to use:
To move a module: after unloading a module from the ARTEMIS clear the transport ship away. Switch to module and lower the support struts with AG1. Switch to the CAV and lower the chassis low enough to get under the module (slow and careful to avoid hitting the struts). Then lift the module up. Drive the module over to where it’s getting connected to the colony. Once the docking port is close to the other docking port lower it just over the ground level. When it’s close enough the module will connect, then lower the chassis and back away. If the module is to far from the front of the CAV you can push it forward with slider 1.
You don’t have to worry about the cross beams, they will not hit any other parts.

Tips:
-slow and careful will win the day
-driving on low grav worlds is tricky and may take a little patience and practice.
-on low grav worlds the docking ports can be very aggressive. Do a quick save before connecting them. If parts break; reduce magnet on the two ports to be connected to around 60%. This will help prevent very aggressive connections, and stop parts from breaking.

I tested the entire system building a 12 module colony on Luna in my vanilla career game. It wasn’t overly difficult to do, but did take a little practice.

@Toothless896 oh was the hover assist on? With that on it will try to hold its altitude. You can still use slider 1 to change altitude with the hover assist on but you need to keep moving it. When I try to change altitude with the hover turned on I wiggle my finger on slider 1. Or turn the hover off and slider 1 will stay where you move it to.

@Toothless896 there is no vizzy coding for this vehicle. It’s literally just rotators with a slider input.

I’m not sure why it would go back down unless a part broke or the slider moved.

Slider 2 up should raise the vehicle.
Slider 2 down should lower it.

And the slider only really uses the 0 to 1 range.
0 to -1 will just lower it all the way and raise the wheels off the ground.

Slider 2 might need to go a little bit negative to get under the module depending on the ground terrain it’s on.

I downloaded it to check the file. It was working properly. So I don’t know what went wrong for you. Maybe the file was corrupted. Try downloading it again maybe.

@Aludra877 yeah it’s a big sucker. It takes up the whole cargo bay on the ARTEMIS.

Got it done. Now I’ll upload all the modules pre-loaded on the transport. As many per day as the website will allow.
