Horizon one

UK/EUA: Horizon One is a sounding rocket made by JUO-TEC (Engineering Technologies Companies JUOBON), a Brazilian company from Santa Catarina. Its first launch was on March 11, 2013, at the Joinville Space Field. The launch was a test flight to assess the vehicle, called Horizon One, which was designed to reach approximately 20 to 21km. The launch received financial support from the Juinville Research Center (JRC or JCP in Portuguese) and also from the Joinville Regional Academy of Science (ARECAJO). The launch was to carry three scientific instruments: 1. An instrument to measure atmospheric pressure; 2. An instrument to measure temperature; and 3. An SMI (Speed Measuring Instrument). The vehicle was also reusable, like a parachute. The mission went according to plan. The rocket launched, ascended, separated, deployed its parachutes, and fell into the sea. It was recovered at 5:54 PM.
