VULCAN CENTAUR

The Vulcan Centaur is a two-stage, heavy-lift-to-orbit launch vehicle that has been under development by the United Launch Alliance (ULA) since 2014, with an initial flight scheduled for May 2023. [7] It is primarily designed to serve the launch demands for the US government's National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program for use by the US Space Force and US intelligence agencies for launches of national security satellites. It will replace the existing ULA launchers (Atlas V and Delta IV Heavy) in this role as these launchers are decommissioning. Vulcan Centaur will also be used for commercial launches, including a 38-launch order from Kuiper Systems.

Vulcan is ULA's first new launch vehicle project; it adapts and develops technologies that were developed for the USAF's EELV program Atlas V and Delta IV rockets. The first stage propellant tanks are the same diameter as the Delta IV Common Booster Core, but will contain liquid methane and liquid oxygen propellants instead of the liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen of Delta IV.

THE CENTAUR

The Centaur is a family of rocket propelled upper stages produced by U.S. launch service provider United Launch Alliance, with one main active version and one version under development. The 3.05 m (10.0 ft) diameter Common Centaur/Centaur III flies as the upper stage of the Atlas V launch vehicle, and the 5.4 m (18 ft) diameter Centaur V is being developed as the upper stage of ULA's new Vulcan rocket.[4][5] Centaur was the first rocket stage to use liquid hydrogen (LH2) and liquid oxygen (LOX) propellants, a high-energy combination that is ideal for upper stages but has significant handling difficulties.

Flight Instructions

-You must activate the "Lock Up" option to take off
-Do not make rough slopes, the rocket may not react well
-Take off with 70% rocket power
-Start inclining after 5 km, from 30 km onwards, a greater range of inclination is allowed

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

As I was short on time, unfortunately I didn't make a Payload for this craft, but I hope you have fun with your own payloads, and share them with us!
As I dropped access to my previous account, a supposed "Successor" will appear at the bottom of the post.
Credits to my friend Felipe Stipp, who provided this wonderful Centaur!
Credits to my friend Captin for painting the central Booster
