BEHOLD!

This is the 6th orbital rocket I built in this game. Nothing much, but I did make it possible for the side boosters to land in one piece after stage separation. This rocket has 4000 m/s of dV and can do a Lunar flyby if the ascent is done efficiently. Sadly, the 1st stage core must be expended because it cannot survive without constant controlling of a powered descent, but you have to control the rest of the rocket in the meantime. The rocket has 3 stages. You can land with the landing legs on the 2nd stage, or you can expend the second stage and just land with the command pod engine (3rd stage).

Use a typical SR2/KSP ascent profile of using full thrust and turning to 45* pitch at 10km. Then aim prograde at 30km.

Enjoy!

Upvote if you like this build. I’m still a beginner when it comes to SR2, and I don’t know that much about rockets, so this is obviously less detailed then my SP builds. As with all my builds (except for the tower of SRBs), this is still designed for ease of flight, which is always important.
