Varnar System

The Varnar System is a dynamic and visually striking star system dominated by the bright white-yellow star Varnar, an F-type main-sequence star radiating intense light and energy. Orbiting this stellar beacon is a collection of intriguing celestial bodies, each telling a story of cosmic drama and ancient cataclysms.

At the heart lies Veltruna, a fractured rocky planet, scarred from a catastrophic collision with the rogue moon Drazkul over a billion years ago. Veltruna’s cracked, glowing fissures hint at lingering geothermal activity beneath a brittle crust, while a dense ring of debris orbits silently—remnants of that ancient impact.

Further out, the massive gas giant Tharion commands the outer system, adorned with its vast, shimmering ring system known as Tharion’s Halo. This giant’s gravitational influence shaped the system’s history, perhaps even nudging Drazkul onto its fateful collision course with Veltruna.

Tharion hosts a diverse family of moons:

Volkris, a fiery volcanic world glowing with lava lakes;

Koralune, a shattered rocky satellite pockmarked by deep canyons;

Eristra, an icy ocean moon with cryovolcanic geysers hinting at life beneath its frozen shell;

Narghel, a captured dark asteroid moon with faint auroras; and

Serenia, a rare Earth-like haven with breathable air, blue oceans, and signs of ancient civilizations, quietly orbiting far from the gas giant’s magnetic storms.

The system’s interplay of light, shadow, and color paints a dramatic scene for explorers: bright golden starshine, deep teal and violet gas giant bands, glowing lava, icy blues, and dark shadowy craters, all set against the black velvet of space.
