Its because they use gravatar and if you have any other website that uses gravatar it would be the same everywhere

Only if you don’t link accounts. If you create separate accounts you won’t have the same password or username. And you also won’t get 100 free points.
I agree that you should be able to have different gravatars for each site, but I’m sure it’ll be quite difficult, if not impossible to do that with how it currently works.
