How do I upload an image in my posts and where do I place heat shields because if I place them on the top, it would be a literally a bag of drag

I have heard you need 100 points to be able to insert images (in a post description), is this true ?

You can write
when its a direct link to the image/gif and ends with something like .png or .jpg. About the heatshield, you usually just put them on the bottom of something you want to protect from heat, hence the name.
