What do you want for a fuel cell mod?

Fuel cells would be a great addition to SR-2. For fuel cell, you need two tanks, one for oxygen and one for hydrogen. For space purposes, these were in liquid form. You would also need third "structure" as the power generator. I would think 2 spherical cryogenic tanks and maybe something rectangular for the ion grid and power distribution.

How about radioisotope thermoelectric generators? They could fit well with the ion engine.

@zeropol A good idea, however SR2 heat system is not yet matured enough for the waste heat stuff I guess. Yeah, choosing fuel and varying performance is definitely something I want to have.

I propose some waste heat generation if it is not game breaking because no radiators.
At least it would refrain us to overuse them ?

Having a few fuel to choose from would be nice, although I know nothing about their performances.
