Hello,
People may not have remembered who I was from the time of Simple Planes, but I often commented on people’s designs as critiques of how they fared when I test piloted them. Love how this game really gave the same kind of environment a limit to the atmosphere.

But let’s get more on topic. The Saturn Series of rockets are legendary but their design story had dozens and dozens of dead ends with some of the most ludicrous statistics that would still be considered a pipe dream today.

This website documented a lot of unknown designs, some of which were intended for Martian exploration with Nuclear engines:

I wouldn’t call this a challenge but right now I’m starting off with the Aggregat rocket designs made by the same designer of the Saturn Series, Von Braun, who made the first set in the 30s. So I guess y’all have a 30 year head start on me. Good luck trying to replicate them. The site even documents each stage so a possible “designer” Saturn rocket would be cool, too!

@PorkyClown3 Ah yes the long chain of people saying so-and-so rockets are fake because one specific detail was inaccurate. I’m not trying to be rude but it would be nice to work with the ideas even if they’re fake. In fact there’s a good number of diagrams depicting designs that never were constructed, but some were flown one way or another (ie. the Saturn V-2 was based off of one design with a small change to a sensor position onto another stage; was used in Skylab launch.)

What exactly is inaccurate about it? Are there any errors you know about? No intention of being picky just want to know.
