Hey! I'm an elementary science teacher that would like to have his kids mess around with SR1 but I can only find the steam version available. The education licenses for SR2 are very generous, but I find it a little too complex for my little guys.

Is there anywhere I can buy copies of SR1 for PC that is a non-steam version? Thanks a million!

@rincorvia that’s the problem. SR1 does have DRM unfortunately. If we ever do another PC build for SR1 we can look into ripping that out.

I'm happy to pay for the copies I just was wondering if there is a PC version of SR1 not attached to steam. If not, no problem I'll just have to find myself a bunch of androids ;)

Unfortunately, we don't have SR1 available as part of the education discount. We currently only have SR2 and SP.

rincorvia, thanks for teaching science! I highly recommend Universe Sandbox 2 as well, it's a really powerful astronomy and physics educational "game", you'll need Steam for that as well though. Good luck!
