After I bought the game on steam and installed it, it appears that I only download a file of 22 MB , my WiFi works fine. The game library of steam gives me the option to play the game but then there is only a slight second of a game launcher with a red dot and than nothing. All my specs are oke, enough ram, space, 64 bits etc. Can somebody help me, I paid for this :(

Dear @AndrewGarrison, thank you very much for your quick response. I thought so, about the GPU, but I wasn't sure. At this moment the beta v0.9.616.1, seems that is working fine..., but thank you for your offer about the branch. Have a good day... :)

@Anat09 This means that your Mac's GPU does not support Metal, so unfortunately that means it will not be able to run version 0.9.700 and above. We will create a branch on Steam so you can continue to play 0.9.600 until you are able to upgrade.

    @AndrewGarrison
    Dear Andrew,
The same thing happens on my Mac early 2008, but with a 2009 video card (ATI Radeon HD 4870,512MB), on High Sierra 10.13.6, 32GB RAM.
    How can I fix this?
    Directory is:
    user/Library/Application Support/com.jundroo.SimpleRockets2.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Anat
(PS: for your convenience I can upload the log files of the game, if you ask me to).

Ah, I see. That is unfortunate. Well, when we get the next version out that uses an updated version of Unity maybe you can try again then.

@Maxpiens Okay, thanks for the logs. It's an access violation. There can be many things that can cause that. Antivirus, etc, but you said you disabled that. Also, are your graphics drivers up to date?

I also read that Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace can cause issues, do you have those installed? How about an app called Duet?

It also might be a Unity bug. We are planning on using an updated version of Unity in the next release for SR2, so that might possibly fix this issue.

I'm really sorry to hear you are having such trouble with the game. Can you check and see if you have a log file here?

    %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimpleRockets 2\output_log.txt

If so, please send it to us at games@jundroo.com or upload it somewhere and put the link here in a comment.

@AndrewGarrison after two days of trying literally everything: shutting of anti virus, searching for corrupted files, deleting apcache and many more, i still can't launch the game. it is driving me nuts. I've see videos of the game and it kills me inside that I can't be a part of it. Are there other community members struggling with launching the game?

@Maxpiens The files are compressed when you're downloading and then they're unzipped on your hard drive, so that's why you would see a larger file size on your hard drive than what the download is reporting.

@AndrewGarrison I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, but when i download it from steam i can see that it is only 256MB which is being downloaded and it should be over 800MB.

Some other stuff to try would be removing your SimpleRockets 2 game data folder. Maybe something got into a weird state and is now preventing the game from running. You can try renaming or deleting this folder:

    %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Jundroo\SimpleRockets 2

Also, have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the game?

Are your video card drivers up to date?

@AndrewGarrison after installing visual studios, it remains the same, no improvement.
What could possibly be going wrong ?

Here's what you should have. It sounds like yours is right. I wonder if one of the required install files failed to install correctly. Try downloading and running the Visual Studio 2017 x64 redist. You can download it here, from Microsoft. Make sure you get the x64 version.

If I browse local files it shows me it uses 834MB but when I click on it, I only have 4 files : Modtools, monobleedingedge etc and than i have installscript.vdf, unityplayer,.. and finally simplerockets2 but that is only 634KB

@Maxpiens If it's only downloading a 22MB file, then that sounds like an issue with either Steam or maybe an anti-virus software getting a little too ambitious and deleting the files. Can you confirm you don't have the correct files under SimpleRockets 2 Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files? You should have about 207 files taking up about 810MB. If that's not the case, try seeing if you can update Steam. Also, try uninstalling and re-installing. Also, when you go through the installer process, are you logged in as an admin or giving it admin privileges when it asks?

No, it’s a new pc. After I click on play you can see game actieve for slight second and the synchronising and than nothing. Is this a steam problem?

Are you out of hard drive space? The total download size of all files should be over 800MB.

Go into your steam library, Right click SR2, Click properties, Click Local Files, Then click "Verify Integrity..."
