Note: this guide is going to take me a long time to write, but I intend on finishing it, because I believe this knowledge is best used when shared, so that others may aspire to create their own amazing crafts someday.

Prelude

When i first heard playing Juno: New Origins, I was super star struck by how cool it looked, how much customization there was, and the endless possibilities in your pocket with this game. At the time, I didnt have a job or any money, so I did online surveys to rack up the eventual 10 bucks id need to buy the game. First coming into the game, it was definitelt a new experience: extremely fun, inspiring, but, due to the advance customization possibilities, also had a relatively steep learning curve. It was at this point I joined the Juno Community Server discord server, where some helpful people are there to help others. I would often get help for simple rocket stuff, but then my attention turned to making fighter jets, and one thing was apparent:

I needed missiles.

However, making guided missiles from scratch was nowhere near as easy as I originally expected. After trying and flopping for quite a long time, a guy named RoKuGou came in and helped me develop my first missiles. Although they were pretty bad in comparison to now, it was a huge jump start, and that little extra guidance from someone else was all it took for me to be able to now make my own stylish, performing weapons, and now I aspire to create an entire weapons network, kind of like a fictional defense company, like Raytheon.

And that is why, today, I decided to make my own comprehensive guide on how to make guided air to air missiles.

Table of contents:

This guide will be split into 3 planned smaller guides (so the forum post does not become blindingly long). Because my own code is just a variant of Triton Aerospace's missile code and Fire Control, i will be demonstrating how to build missiles with his code.

Process of Building Guided Missiles (Triton Aerospace)

Process of Installing Missile Guidance & Tuning (Triton Aerospace)

Fire Control for your jets (Triton Aerospace)

What you will need:

Triton Aerospace's modernized missile guidance code

Triton Aerospace's Type 1 Fire Control System for armed aircraft

◆ A Triton Aerospace Jet Fighter or your own jets with the Type 1 Air FCM attached.

◆ A strong willingness to read, listen, use trial and error, and maintain perseverance.

References:

I understand that building missiles seems complicated and its very very hard to attempt to do it alone. Furthermore, not every issue you may encounter will be addressed by this guide.

For that reason, I have compiled a small list of helpful people or places you can contact for more information about building guided missiles. Here they are below:

Triton Aerospace

Alpha Space Technologies (me)

Rokugou Systems

You can also find all three of us in the Juno Community Server on Discord.

I hope this guide helps you a lot when it comes to starting to build air to air missiles! Eventually, with the knowledge you gain from this guide plus references and success over time, you will have the ability to make better, more unique missiles and even more!
