Target Window: Q1–Q2 2026
Pulsar Space today formally announces its entry into the orbital launch domain with Pulsar-1, a reusable medium orbital launch vehicle designed to redefine performance, efficiency, and reusability in modern spaceflight.
Pulsar-1 represents the company’s first-generation orbital system and the foundation of its long-term launch architecture. Engineered from the ground up with reusability at its core, Pulsar-1 combines advanced propulsion, structural optimization, and rapid recovery capability to meet the demands of next-decade orbital missions.
Vehicle Overview
Launch Vehicle: Pulsar-1
Operator: Pulsar Space
Class: Reusable Medium Orbital Launch Vehicle
Role: Primary first-generation orbital system
Propulsion:
First Stage: Methalox (CH₄ / LOX)
Upper Stage: Cryogenic (LH₂ / LOX)
Payload Capacity: 45tons to Low-Droo Orbit with RTLS recovery
A New Standard for Reusability
Pulsar-1 is designed to deliver heavy payload capability without sacrificing recovery, enabling frequent launches, reduced turnaround time, and sustainable access to orbit. The RTLS architecture allows the first stage to return directly to the launch site, minimizing operational complexity while maximizing fleet reusability.
The vehicle’s dual-propellant strategy leverages the efficiency and restart capability of methalox with the high-performance advantages of cryogenic upper-stage propulsion, ensuring precise orbital insertion across a wide range of mission profiles.
Looking Ahead
The inaugural launch of Pulsar-1, planned for Q1–Q2 2026, will mark a defining milestone for Pulsar Space and its vision of reliable, scalable, and economically viable orbital access. Pulsar-1 is not a one-off vehicle it is the starting point of a launch family built for evolution, upgrades, and expansion.
This mission is the first step toward a future where high-capacity, reusable launch systems become the industry standard.
Pulsar Space
Precision. Power. Reusability.
