im building a craft that requires very special rotors which i do not know how to build. the craft is a gyroplane , a type of aircraft that can takeoff and land as an helicopter but relies on the autorotation phenomenon to keep flying with unpowered rotors.
the requirements are this ones:
the craft will be twin rotor with each rotor at the tip of each wing, i need them to rotate in opposite ways and to have its controls optimised to this kind of airframe so i can have pitch and roll control without using any further control surface than the blades
i need the rotors to generate 160 tons of lift (80 each) at a maximum of 50-60 rpm, generate 50 tons each when autorotating at a forward speed of 170 m/s and to resist any rotational force the rotor spin could generate without deintegrating
the rotor must have 5 blades
the blades must have small jet engines on the tip, this ones must be the only source of power for this rotor and must have enough power to spin the whole assembly at 75 rpm
if you are a pro at this and wanna add blade flex physics please do not add too much.
there is no date for it to be finished, anyway if you want my future craft to use your rotors you must finish before others or have better quality.
anyone interested please feel free to comment. when the craft is finished, the one who built the rotors will be credited and ill give him some upvoting.
Do you need something like a fully controlled VTOL?
Very interesting, but that would be impossible for me.
