Yesterday, ABSOLUTE Aerospace started testing the two engine prototypes for the XHF-05, the results could not have been worse, The engines barely produced 1000kN when at max power and about mach 3. Whithout the use of post-combustion, the engines just produced about 400kN, however this engines are quite bigger than previous models installed on the Cuttingblade and the Zvezda and produce about the same power, only exceeding at high speeds for about 100kN, and they are heavier. This is not the main problem, this engines drink up to 108000 kg of fuel per hour , and this almost completely destroy the posibilities that the craft reaches the performance needs, because a craft carrying 108000 tons of fuel will have to reach any place in the world in just 45 minutes to sucessfully return to the base without refueling, now read that again: a 140 ton plane going so fast that it reaches the furthest point from the base in jess than 45 min? again, weighting 140 tons? and producing about the power that the Cuttingblade does? absolutely nonsense. the most feasible plan right now is to develop better engines, to have squadrons everywhere or to develop an air refuel system, something unprecedented in juno

@BeaconIndustries ramjets are less efficient than conventional turbofan engines, in this case ramjets would not work, ill need scramjets and they are even more fuel thirsty

Focus on making the engines more efficient and less thrust... You might Say nah what ya saying plane Will be slow! buT if you delve into Ramjet tech you could theoretically reach mach 1.5 and then accelerate tò the necessary Speeds using the Ramjet wich would be very efficient cuz It only needs oxygen and air of me Remember correctly.

Might I suggest a trijet configuration? NEO has produced both a fighter/intercepter and an air superiority fighter using this type of plane. Because a stealthy design has a thicker fuselage, you can fit three turbofans side by side, giving high thrust for less fuel usage. NEO wishes ABSOLUTE best of luck on future projects.
