This is yet another lore drop for the future, I just cant hold it in anymore, ik im spoiling the plot but, after hearing how similar captain sawblade is to ultrakill, I just want to see if this new lore isnt resemblent to anything or it just looks like a knockoff of something which I have no knowledge of.
So it all starts with the Commonwealth receiving an odd message on Terrius from a not so far away star system. They essentially go there, this system is a single star system with 5 planets and 4 moons, called the Arlos system. On Arlos II, there lurks an intelligent species (this ain't the lurking consciousness). We make contact, but they are in a dire situation—their home planet does not have good resources and they are forced to live minimalistically. They essentially were waiting for a miracle to help them.
These guys (The Acellians) realized that their homeworld lacked resources since they themselves had started building. Fortunately for them, they could see the radio wave spectrum and the visible spectrum, allowing them to do astronomy. They are an aquatic species which perform electrolysis to take in hydrogen (as they need hydrogen) and eject the oxygen for propulsion. They saw the Strellius system was nearby, and with the little tech they had, they saw that the Hades gas giant system was rich in minerals and had a habitable world. They used all they could to build a very solid colony ship to this world. This happened hundreds of years ago.
Yet this habitable world wasn't a solid rocky planet as they hoped. This world was a flesh world, with conscious flesh. Its seas weren't of water, but rather a very acidic substance that looks like water. This world aimed to lure in species in order to slowly take their minds over. It snapped off a few microscopic pieces of itself and these pieces have their own consciousness yet are controlled by this central flesh entity. They sneaked into the central processing unit of the Acellian colonists and essentially took control. Slowly, the colonists also slowly lost consciousness. The colonists’ bodies were used to build ships to the to the moons of the Hades system, as these moons contained metal, which the flesh knew it needed to build ships for its one goal: expansion and consumption of resources.
Once these former colonists’ bodies were used to build ships to the moons, they were then used to build habs in order for them to reproduce so that the flesh had more of a workforce to build more ships for expansion. The flesh also used these bodies to make orbital rings around most of these moons. These orbital rings contained chunks of the flesh itself, which were conscious. These were used for preservation measures. Right now the flesh has also made these former colonists construct primitive EMP rays to cloud itself in mystery, so that no species knows what it's doing.
Right now, the flesh is still using these Acellian bodies to build a massive amount of ships. Hence it is currently in an isolationist state. These ships aren't entirely for war (yet can be used for war), but for expansion. Each ship is for one celestial body. These ships contain a central spherical contraption with two rings which spin around it. These rings contain conscious chunks of the flesh itself. These rings also have doors so that these chunks can defend themselves by morphing into different shapes to reach out and annihilate enemy ships. The spherical contraption keeps these rings around it by currently unknown means (making this flesh more intelligent than humans). The sphere holds one Acellian pilot, which warps this ship to its destination planet.
Due to this colony failing, the Acellians had to survive on as little resources as possible, leading them to kill off the more useless Acellians (those who have contributed nothing to Acellian society), only leaving their numbers in the 20s. The Acellians also need to feed on some materials in order to get their energy, hence the culling. Acellians also need to absorb a type of biological mass to aid in reproduction (offspring grows off of parent, detaches when ready—all Acellians can do this). Eventually, upon hearing this, the Commonwealth representatives were worried. So they then told the Great One (leader of the Commonwealth) that such a threat exists.
He then instructed that messages should be sent to all allied and non-allied factions regarding this brewing issue. Yet, he said that first, we must build reconnaissance probes with EMP absorbent armour. These probes did spy on the Hades system only to find out the Acellians were not quite right... in fact, it was way worse than the Acellians described it. The flesh had many orbital rings and many Acellian body habs which produced Acellian bodies en masse, and ships were being produced in the hundreds. Judging by the fact that the Strellius system sports 100+ celestial bodies, and the flesh making these ships in the hundreds, this means that the flesh was planning to go interstellar, meaning it likely has astronomical knowledge of neighbouring star systems. The message was sent. The Commonwealth had issued the mass production of the newly made Dreadnought. The Botanians said they'd join the war and focus on more anti-biological weaponry. They started research on an acid-injecting torpedo, which is to be fitted onto carrier-launched Petula-class corvettes. The Fordians decided to join as well, for the preservation of humanity and to help the Acellians. They started mass production of heavy frigates and the Foradora-class heavy cruiser. The Eiderian Union also opted to join in this war. They brought forward important ammunition which stuns chunks of flesh, rendering cognitive function useless. They are also mass-producing battleships and atmospheric fighters. These fighters are planned to go onto the surface of the flesh world and shoot this ammo onto the planet itself. The fighters’ fuselage are also coated in pins. When pressed down with force, these pins make contact with a high-voltage battery, shocking the target. These measures were made should the flesh try to bring these fighters down by throwing chunks of itself onto them or by literally grabbing them down.
The Etosian Republic refused, as the chancellor said that the people want to take this flesh entity on their own, without the help of any other puny factions. The other factions had predicted this. The Cult of Skefelosomkosa opted to send their ships too. They developed sharp-tipped CD (Controlled Detonation) torpedoes and more plasma weaponry. The Free Wanderers of Slesh heard the news (they have a few primitive radios, on which this was broadcasted) and opted to send some soldiers to help fight. The Intelleians sent us some advanced railgun blueprints in order to help. The Droods also sent in some soldiers willing to fight, to all human factions. The Terfium Sect offered to join and opted to use their ships as reconnaissance ships and light fighters. This war lasts one grueling year. With humans and Droods being the victors, it was close, yet the flesh ultimately had all of its ships destroyed, Acellian bodies destroyed, and had succumbed to orbital bombardment (the last battle) with railguns, missiles, and even the Eiderian fighters. The Etosian Republic came in at the last moment and sent in land troops to flame the flesh, but that didn't work and all of their troops had perished due to the flesh not really being affected by flames (plasma is the only thing that can really burn it). It got agitated and absorbed them. They weren't happy and this made them hate the other factions since they hadn't protected their troops.
The Eiderians used large bomber squadrons filled with heavy bases in order to neutralize the seas of the acidic water-looking substance. This did work, allowing for modified Botanian exploration subs (now converted into unmanned deep-sea bombs) to detonate. The Commonwealth had used Eflekolonokonis-class battleships and dreadnoughts to bombard the flesh planet. The Botanians also started to pump more greenhouse gases to cause the flesh to overheat. The Fordians drilled in areas with cognitive function using their drilling probes. The Cult aided the Fordians in their destruction of the flesh's cognitive areas. The Commonwealth had deployed experimental Anti-Flesh mechs, armed with plasma cutters, Tesla coils (high amp and high voltage), and conventional plasma arms.
During the war (of course), the flesh had started going to other worlds and humans and Droods had to rid its presence. The war ended with a total of 10.2 million casualties (mostly from the orbital ring destruction, which the flesh had defended). 2 million were Droods and 8.2 million were human. After careful consideration, the Commonwealth had helped and aided the Acellians to a new habitable world, where they can flourish as a species. This world was rich in materials. Human-Acellian relations are great, but the only other potential threat is the Inhosterrans...
Plot hole fixes are in the comments, pls tell me what you thinkg guys, it took a long while to type this, srry to beg
Plot holes:
1: The acellians have used what little they had to biologically edit the colonists to breath on land and on this new world, hence they werent obliterated by the acid seas.
2: The flesh can learn from its victims, it had extracted knowledge and memories from the Acellian colonists, whom, knew science and space travel, hypothetical sciences and laws of physics and known sciences and laws of physics. Ofcourse it has played around and learnt new laws of physics (since it could produce acellian bodies at mass, it could use them as guinea pigs for science hence making it learn advanced laws of physics.
3: The reason it didnt morph into its own lifeforms for the sake of science is because it didnt know much, as well even if it did, it wanted to know whether it was alone or not so it waited patiently for its prey, and its be more easier to have a host than to make its own flesh morphs to do its work, if it was alone, it'dve realised it is pointless existing and wouldve sat there and die, but if it wasnt, it wouldve chosen to expand as it did want challenge, to destroy, to gain new knowledge and to learn to adapt quickly (ofcourse it wouldve done this via biological editing which it wouldve learnt from other threats).
4: No other world was was habitable or resource filled int he arlos system (a very sad system) hence the acellians went interstellar.
5: they sent a probe through their wormhole first before scouting strellius (as they needed to know which system it was possible to go to first)
6: The flesh also did produce iron and other valueble materials, yet on a microscopic spectrum and on mass (to make it seem like a lot).
7: The only reason the acellians chose the flesh world was because it was the most habitable one for them and again, the moons were literal free resources within a close proximity.
Any more plot holes pls notify me I will explain or fix them, live long and prosper
