In the far reaches of the galactic rim, beyond the known star charts and logic-defying physics, exist two of the most extreme and awe-inspiring celestial bodies ever mapped: Jorvaxis and Set1-15B.
Jorvaxis – The Dead Giant
Jorvaxis is a colossal, airless rocky world, utterly devoid of atmosphere, yet seething with mystery. Its gravity is a staggering 35 meters per second squared, nearly four times that of Earth, crushing any unprepared lander within seconds. With a radius of 100,000 kilometers, it dwarfs most known planets — resembling a forgotten core of an ancient super-Earth or rogue brown dwarf.
Its surface is scarred and cracked — endless obsidian plains, deep canyons stretching for thousands of kilometers, and impact basins so vast they warp local gravity fields. Jorvaxis spins slowly, with a day length of nearly six Earth days, baking one hemisphere in endless light while the other freezes in eternal darkness.
Yet, the most mesmerizing feature is its equirectangular map, revealing a network of ancient terrain flows, possibly molten rivers frozen in time — suggesting a violent geologic past that is now long dead.
Set1-15B – The Emerald Hurricane
Set1-15B is the perfect storm of chaos and beauty — a massive green gas giant nearly seven times the mass of Jupiter and partially composed of metallic hydrogen. Its upper atmosphere glows with strange emerald tones, while underneath, a violent churning of gases creates storm systems thousands of kilometers across, with wind speeds exceeding 14,000 kilometers per hour.
Orbiting near Jorvaxis, Set1-15B serves as its chaotic twin. Where Jorvaxis is heavy, silent, and solid, Set1-15B is dynamic, unpredictable, and alive with motion. Its equirectangular cloud map reveals massive, symmetrical storm patterns — some suggesting hidden forces at work, possibly magnetic or even artificial in origin.
Despite their differences, both worlds are deeply connected — twin relics of a shattered star system, bound in a slow gravitational waltz, orbiting the remnants of a collapsed sun.
Explorer's Note:
"Never before have two celestial bodies so violently opposed in nature stood side by side like this. One silent and crushing, the other roaring with storm and fury. Jorvaxis and Set1-15B are not just planets. They are a warning from the universe itself."
