OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
KARMAN SPACE TO LAUNCH PHOENIX ROCKET WITH RTLS RECOVERY NEXT MONTH
South Ageria, Uthain, Karman Space is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our flagship orbital-class rocket, Phoenix, scheduled for next month. This mission marks a historic step forward in our journey toward a future of fully reusable launch systems and affordable access to space.
Mission Overview
Rocket: Phoenix
Mission Name: Phoenix Flight 1
Launch Window: July 14th, 2025
Launch Site: Horizon Cape Spaceport (HCS)
Recovery: Return-To-Launch-Site (RTLS) first-stage landing
Payload: Dummy payload to Low Droo Orbit (LDO)
The Phoenix vehicle is a next-gen two-stage launch system, powered by 9 Vortex engines on its reusable first stage, designed and built entirely by Karman Space. These engines run on liquid oxygen and liquid methane, optimized for high thrust, deep throttling, and reusability.
The highlight of this mission will be the attempted RTLS recovery of the Phoenix booster a controlled boost-back burn, atmospheric re-entry, and precision vertical landing near the launch pad. This complex maneuver will be a first for Phoenix and a critical milestone in our goal of creating a rapidly reusable launch vehicle fleet.
Current Status
Phoenix is currently in the final phase of integration and system-level testing at our headquarters. Teams are conducting extensive pre-flight checks, hot-fire validations, and trajectory simulations to ensure mission success.
Watch Live
The entire mission, from countdown to booster landing and payload deployment, will be streamed live across our digital platforms. Viewers will get exclusive insights, real-time telemetry, and commentary from our launch control center.
Why It Matters
This launch isn’t just a mission it’s a demonstration of what’s possible when innovation, precision engineering, and sustainable spaceflight converge. The success of Phoenix Flight 1 will mark a major leap toward building a future where orbital launches are not only efficient but also economically and environmentally sustainable.
