I’m building a kinda big plane with retractable landing gear at the moment, and the the wheels just flop around and eventually blow the plane up because they’re bouncing like 30m away from the plane. How do I fix this?

Typically the wobbling happens when two bodies are connected and they have very different masses. Increasing the mass of the connected bodies helps to improve performance. Increasing the stability modifier is a way to trick the game into increasing the inertia tensor of a body without needing to increase mass. Removing an unnecessary body (as you did) is also a great option.

I tried increasing the mass but it seemed to just make the problem worse. BTW the landing gear I was building has two rotators on it incase that helps.
Oh BTW in the end I just simplified the gear so it had only 1 rotator in it and it worked. The wheels still kinda wobble about a bit though lol @AndrewGarrison

Increase mass scale of the wheels and also try increase stability modifier just slightly for wheels and any other small parts connected to the wheels.

    Ok I’ll try that. Thanks :) @AtlantikWall45

but if you want it to maybe vanilla decrease some mass or the mass should be level to the wheels bc the wheels could not take much weight

    Maybe with Tinker Panel
Then set collisions to None and Collision Response also None
