Karman Space Gets Approval to Build Launch Site in Uthain

April 30, 2025 – South Ageria, Uthain

Karman Space has received official government approval to begin construction of its first orbital launch facility, marking a major step forward for the Uthain-based aerospace company. The launch site, known as Horizon Cape Spaceport (HCS), will be built on the northern coast of South Ageria and is expected to support the company’s reusable Phoenix rocket.

The approval was granted by the Uthain Aerospace Commission (UAC) following a series of environmental and safety reviews. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q3 2025, with the first test flight targeted for Q4-Q5 2025.

Launch Site Features

Horizon Cape Spaceport will include a vertical launch pad, integration and processing hangars, a mission control center, and a dedicated booster landing zone. The location was chosen for its safe overwater trajectory, stable weather, and proximity to Karman’s inland manufacturing facilities.

The launch complex will initially support uncrewed missions, with future upgrades planned for crewed orbital flights and deep space payloads.

National Impact

Government officials praised the project as a catalyst for local development and a milestone in Uthain’s space ambitions.

The project is expected to generate hundreds of jobs during construction and operation, while positioning Uthain as a launch provider in the global commercial space market.

The launch era is coming fast. And thanks to your support, we’re not just participating — we’re leading it.

Onward and upward,
Team Karman
