@PlanesofJundroo I will make an airbag, as that was what I was considering for the first lander of my upcoming project.
Considering the docking port, it's partially stock. You still have to maneuver to the other docking port, but it still docks. -

Also, Ive been wanting a docking port that automatically docks for you. (That probably isn't possible)

@Bmcclory I don't know any way to detect instant acceleration, I think it's impossible to automate a car airbag
About the automatic docking, @PlanesofJundroo, it may be possible but very hard. And I mean very very hard. Like 80 hours of work or more to get any decent result, and it may not be pretty.
