Colour changing on downloads when saving them as a sub assembly

Hi everyone.

Is there a way to stop colour changing when using a downloaded satellite for example and saving it as a sun assembly and then placing it on my rocket?

At the moment I’ll down load an amazing craft only to add it as a sub assembly and it changes all the colours to that of the ones I’m using on my rocket.
