Apparently you have to do a contract involving landing on the drone ship, but how do I the contract please?

Well first you have to advance enough in the career/tech tree to unlock the contract. After unlocking it the method I used to complete it was to have a big rocket to get somewhat close to it then have a tiny rocket plane as the final stage to fly to it then a huge parachute to stop and land softly on it.

To make it easier, you can launch from the DSC bay, launch immediently so you dont tip over
