just made an epic discovery

you can use a singular runway light to make city lights without any major hassles like making their own seperate biome and whatnot.
they work at night only, as expected, and their "underside" is transparent so unlike Nyr's volcanoes you won't see them through neither the scaled space nor cubemap of the planet, and you can also resize and recolor them easily
really, the only downside is that you have to put it a few thousand metres above the city/structure, which if you're flying at normal heights with a plane it can look weird (it will be fine in orbit tho), though the transparent underside makes it unnoticable when driving land vehicles
