Also, if you ever have an empty surface on your craft use struts to make a ladder there. It doesn’t matter if there useless, they always look legit.

It helps to have a reference pic, you don’t have to use it as a blueprint but if you have an image of a rocket you can copy it really helps.

Just lots of practice! My builds looked very simple and basic at first. only later after getting used to all the tools did I start to get more complex detailed designs! Might also help to download a look at other players builds for how to do stuff.
