According to what it says on SR2’s steam page this is what it says about what the devs are saying (I have my thoughts under the answers to each of the questions) :

Why Early Access?

“Now that we have a solid, fully 3D rocket simulator it's time to get the community involved. We have ideas for key features that we want to implement (such as a Planet Builder and Campaign Mode), but players have great ideas too and we want to include them in the development process and have time to react to those ideas.”

Thoughts: So we need to make sure we don’t bombard the devs with unnecessary, ridiculous ideas and ask a whole ton of questions that have already been answered multiple times or they won’t be able to add all those cool features.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our goal is to finish Early Access in early 2019, though we are prepared to change this as we respond to player feedback.”

Thoughts: They had to put something down and if you haven’t already noticed they aren’t really good at predicting to future so please be patient and stop asking when they’re going to release the game.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include a Planet Builder where players can build their own planets and share them online. Another key feature will be the Campaign Mode where players can start their own rocket company, earn money through contracts, and research new parts. We will also continue to add more parts and more planets and respond to player feedback.”

Thoughts: Don’t really have anything to say about this except that I’m really looking forward to them being able to add those cool updates as soon as they have time!

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is already a robust 3D rocket simulator. Here are the key features:

- Fully 3D Rocket Designer with several available tools to help build anything from simple rockets to very complicated multi-stage rockets to robotic mechs.

- Realistic rocket physics and orbital mechanics.

- Over 20 parts, including fairings, retractable solar panels, engines, etc. Many parts are highly customizable such as the resizable fuel tank and the resizable rover wheels.

- Fully 3D, rotating planets that can support water and multiple biomes, such as desert, grasslands, tundra, etc.

- Players can upload their rockets and sandboxes and share them with other players.

- Online community where players can upvote and comment on other player's content.

Thoughts: and more coming soon too!

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we add new content and features.”

Thoughts: I don’t know about you but I’m DEFINITELY going to get the game as soon as it comes out so it’s the cheapest.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players have great ideas and they're great at finding bugs, so we strive to make it as easy as possible for them to get in touch with us and contribute to the development process.”

Thoughts: That’s a privilege that they almost always answer your questions, so please, no asking unnecessary questions so they can get the game done!

EDIT: oh wait nvm I guess they can't keep up anymore with your annoying questions because I just read this comment from Andrew: " It's okay. I don't mind.

I can't keep up with the comments anymore so I stopped trying,

but I am glad to see that players are excited about the beta! :)" <( I feel so bad for him, he's trying not to make anyone feel bad)

feel free to put your thoughts on this below
