Here we go again...

So, Pedro said the career mode was around the corner, right? And if we make something in career mode we need money right? And what happened if it was too expensive? Or you need a reasonably good strength and high tolerance of atmospheric heating and G-force to your craft or you just want a lightweight one?

           THERE COMES THIS POST

I have some ideas to (hopefully) added to the game, and that feature was part Compositions. Part compositions is allow us to make more customized part properties, like when you need high heat tolerance or a lightweight one. But you can change the part compositions whatever you like, so we can lower our addiction to tinker panel. This idea can be applied to fuel tank, strut, wing, interstage, etc.

And I also have some ideas to put what compositions should be added.

1 : Stainless steel
This composition can be found on SpaceX Starship. Stainless steel was still affordable when it comes to cost. And when comes to recovering the craft, it was cheap due to nature of stainless steel being invincible to corrosion. It will nearly, or even have same weight as our current weight of fuel tank, wing, and interstage, heat tolerance was from 1,400-1500°C. I recommended this as default composition

2 : Titanium
Titanium can be found on Lockeed A-12 (Including SR-71,YF-12, and M-21) family. Titanium was highly expensive; only the richest one can afford, and when recovering your craft, it costs was medium to high. It's a bit heavy compared to stainless steel. But, the most notable feature was titanium can reach 1668°C, which can sustain an hypersonic flight in SR2.

3 : Wood (yeah, I'm not joking)
Wood is cheap, so when you are nearly going to bankrupt in SR2 career mode, use wood as last hope to put it on your planes, (I highly not recommend to apply it on rocket) plus it was very cheap to recover. Sadly, it can reach high temperatures nor high g-force, but it have compensation and it was weight. Light weight can make your craft that where light even more lighter.

4 : Aluminium, or Aluminum for the country of freedom and justice (USA)
Aluminium was have 1/3 density from steel, it means have lower weight than stainless steel. It has melting point of 660°C, so this was highly recommended for transonic and mach 1-2 aircraft. And it was slightly cheaper to afford and recover than stainless steel.

5 : Carbon fiber (or fibre. Whatever)
Thanks to Zenithspeed for remind me for this

Carbon fiber is expensive (about 10-12x more expensive than steel), but not expensive as titanium and to recover it was not so expensive nor not so cheap. Carbon fiber had very high g-force tolerance and high temperature tolerance. Carbon fiber will be very light due to nature of it being an sheet-like texture. And when applied to parts, this will automatically turn it into black and you can't change it and it will automatically have unique texture of carbon fiber. If this was ever made to the game and there was an feature research-like system, this will be the hardest to get due to how good and properties they had.

6 : Silica
Silica can be found on shuttle orbiter heatshield. As it mentioned before, silica can be used as heatshield due to have melting point of 1260°C. And will a little bit heavier than stainless steel. This can be subtitude for heatshield slider.

7 : Composite material
Still thinking how the properties it will have due to nature of it being an frankenstein of many parts.

That's all for today

    Why not an Oganesson rocket?

@Zenithspeed when we search gold, we forget diamond. When we search osmium, we forget tungsten

    6 : Plastic
    Well, we have wood so...
It'd be good for satelite components.

    7 : Glass
I mean... it'd be cool to have a dedicated glass part. Cracking instead of exploding

carbon fibre is love, carbon fibre is life
memes aside, you should definitely add carbon fibre to your fanmade list, having extremely high costs but also being very lightweight, strong, and having good heat tolerance
