Zenith Lore on non-SR2 site link

It's been a while since i've made one of these, eh? Anyways, i'm finally continuing it, hopefully keeping the action while reducing the violence... hopefully.

SECTION FOUR-ONE: Speed on the land

Zenith was known for his particular enjoyment of high velocities. Although his SV80 craft could satisfy this in both the airborne and cosmic territories, he also wanted to expand this onto terrestrial means. He selected six vehicles that he had found interesting or knew that they had high performance. These six were:
1. The Lamborghini Egoista. This fighter jet-shaped car might not be the fastest but it does echo back to his high-speed aircraft.
2. The Koenigsegg Jesko. An extreme Swedish beast that excels in handling, acceleration, and top speed all at once, all while its innovation give it a notably higher fuel efficiency and practicality.
3. The Pagani Huayra. This Italian car was shaped by the wind and uses clever active aerodynamics to hugely aid in handling.
4. The McLaren F1. A legend of its own, this ahead-of-its-time retro hypercar sends shivers down the spines of anyone lucky enough to hear the sound of its naturally aspirated V12 engine, all while being able to seat three and stay lightweight.
5. The SSC Tuatara. An American beast with immense grip and power give it one of the highest acceleration values ever seen at higher speeds.
6. The Hennessey Venom F5. Although formerly shrouded in some controversies much like the Tuatara, it has proven itself that raw power sometimes is just the best solution.

However, all of these were extremely expensive vehicles, built in low amounts, and getting hold of them would certainly be difficult.

SECTION FOUR-TWO to FOUR-THREE: Money >CAN< buy happiness

Zenith had an idea though. He planned to obtain the unused factory versions of the vehicles or purchase them from an owner who no longer wanted theirs. This might seem daring at first, but his net worth at the time was worth about 6 trillion dollars - way more than enough just for a couple of fast cars.
For the Egoista, he specifically asked Lamborghini to build him a second one, and while he did have to pay around 20 million dollars, in the end he had a good reputation everywhere around the world and the company agreed to make the car for him. As for the Jesko, he purchased one of the prototype cars and had it upfitted similarly to regular customer cars. Zenith quickly established a close alliance with the Koenigsegg brand and he agreed to supply them with any useful technology he may find.
For the Huayra, Zenith bought a used Huayra BC and gave it a large tune: retuned active aerodynamics, interior hugely reduced of weight, and the engine tuned even further. All of this gave it a top speed increase from 383 km/h to 393 km/h, and a much better turning radius. He dubbed it the Huayra BC-R.
The McLaren F1 was the most expensive, coming in at around 50 million dollars for a stowed-away F1 GTR in the garage of a long-deceased sheikh. Zenith bought the car from the surviving relatives, and had it upgraded to a mix between the F1 GTR and F1 LM specs, thus he appropriately gave it the name of F1 LMGTR.
For the Tuatara, Zenith bought another prototype and gave it a similar look to that of the now-famous 001, with a striking black and red color scheme.
Finally, the Venom F5. Another prototype, but this time he actually bought two. One was the concept version of the car, with the rear wing and a triangular-like exhaust setup. The other one was obviously the production model, with no wing, a mildly different design, and different exhausts.
Zenith then went to tune the cars, giving them each a LogicBreaker, which, along with a near-invisible external Type C Nihilium coating, allowed them to be practically indestructable, as he also planned to use them in high-speed pursuits. Each vehicle was also equipped with a unique special ability:
- Egoista: Deals high blunt and cutting damage when ramming targets due to the spiky-like front end.
- Jesko: Splitter gains the Quark Slice ability similar to the Astrocosmosis weapon, effectively allowing it to slice through everything. Also doubles as an effective leg-chopper and tire-popper.
- Huayra: Can make people cry a lot, weakening their mental power and possibly exposing their weakness(es).
- F1: Comically dubbed the "Sin Deleter" by those observing testing, a bright white light envelops the car and anything deemed "sinful" that touches it gets immediately vaporized, or, "deleted" out of existance. This requires a noticable percantage of power from the LogicBreaker (around 60% of the maximum, which even then still dwarfs human-made things) and thus is rarely used.
- Tuatara: Can ignite objects with massive backfire from its exhaust.
- Venom F5: Summons an F5 tornado, either on demand by pressing a button or by doing donuts with the car. Can be combined with the Tuatara's ability to create an immensely destructive fire tornado.

SECTION FOUR-FOUR: Drivin' through on max

13th of January, 2022. 21:19. The longest stretch of the German Autobahn is rather quiet. Zenith uses this as an opportunity to test the top speeds of his vehicles. The Egoista recieved an extreme tune, with 1325 horsepower and a low-friction 7-speed gearbox and differential. This allowed for an extreme top speed of 324 mph (521 km/h) and was already a promising sign. The Jesko was next, and even in the Attack trim it could go 300 mph (483 km/h) straight on. The Absolut version, which he could simply swap out with the DTS, could reach 331 (532 km/h) mph on this spot, but he knows 345+ mph (555+ km/h) is more than possible with better conditions. The Huayra BC-R, as said before, only went 244 mph (393 km/h), as it was tuned to dominate in the corners. The McLaren F1's true top speed was unknown. It did, however, reach the original top speed record of 243 mph (392 km/h) that was set by the XP5 prototype at Ehra-Leissen back in 1998. Zenith says that it could probably do over 260-270 mph (418-434 km/h) with good conditions, and even a fully stock one could probably reach 250 mph (402 km/h) or more with modern tires. The Tuatara reached 330 mph (531 km/h), spitting massive flames on every gear shift. Finally, the Venom F5 managed to reach 313 mph (504 km/h), as it was getting close to morning, and with that came an increased risk due to higher traffic. The Ghost Phase mode, which allowed vehicles to seamlessly pass through each other, was not fully developed yet, and thus Zenith would rather drive safely - although, at 300+ mph, what even counts as "safe", let alone survivable, assuming it were a normal human driving the cars?

SECTION FOUR-FIVE: Journey from not that far away

With initial vehicle testing done, Zenith went back to his main base on Titan to relax a bit. He couldn't do that a lot though, as brand new information came- a small group of humans, including several important government figures were coming for a visit. He set up a quick oxygen shield bubble for them to breathe without any spacesuits, and waited for the arrival of the craft. Spaceflight technology has rapidly advanced, allowing for much more powerful yet noticably more efficient combustion engines, with a large scanning mission scheduled for arrival around orbit of Pluto (and if you're wondering, yes, in the lore it became a planet again) in 2024.

    @JanusSpaceIndustries yes
there will be 2 more protagonists later on, Nadir and Azimuth (to keep the cosmic theme), both acquired roughly around the same time, that is around the mid-late point of the story

@Zenithspeed Ok lol. To get this straight. Zenith is the main character?

@JanusSpaceIndustries he's basically what happens if you take IRL me, add a bit of anime-tier plot armor and make it extremely chaotic
it's bern toned down a bit since this is the old version (won't be updated)
