i'm trying to find the wheel rpm using
60 × lateral velocity ÷ wheel diameter × pi, but i need to know whether the rover is moving forward or backward

@DrexxVolv I don't get it, how do i know if the craft is pointing at least 90 degrees away from the velocity?

Simple see if the craft is pointing at least 90 degrees away from that velocity. Closer would be better. :)
