Recently @Bmcclory has published his findings on "hype" in the community, and they are worse than I ever feared.

For those who are blissfully unaware, the Half Life 3 effect (or HL3E) is when total hype is so potent that is starts to have an affect on game development, by slowing it down. The best scientist still have no idea on the the hype-development entanglement works, or how it could even be possible, but don't let this fool you. It is very real.

Previous data suggested that we would make it through the hype barrier, or the point in which hype pushes a game's development back far enough that it will never get made via infinite hype loop. However given the current hype saturation numbers, we might not make the cut off by September 22.

How do we solve this problem? I have a solution which may seem irrational, but dang nabbit it might just work. We have to post EXCLUSIVELY SR1 content. No mention to SR2 can be made. At all. If we can keep it up till next Monday, we may be able to achieve a "hard hype reset" of sorts. Now I know you must be saying: "A hard hype reset is only theoretically possible" I know. But this is the only shot we have to save a game we all love. We must all do our part, and show each other on this forum all of our cool designs, space stations, and mods. Hopefully, we can pull this off. Who's with me?

@MrTaco why call it SR1 if there isn't a sequel?

Let’s GOOOOOO! If we can achieve a hard hype reset, it will change the science of hype forever! Do you people know how valuable that proof would be?
