simply launching up in a rocket above 635 m/s (not sure if speed related or time related) will cause the challenge to fail by deviating above 100 meters, in which this case, i am only off by 66.7 meters. early tests also revealed a deviation of 1.7 meters also caused this challenge to fail.

The blue arrow indicates that you passed the < 100m lateral movement. You failed the challenge because you did not exceed 750m/s before exceeding 2km in altitude.
