Satellite deployment marked as failure despite being in target orbit

I'm trying to complete 3 smallsat misions in one launch. Deployment of the first satellite in its target orbit works fine, but the second satellite in the stack doesn't seem to register successful deployment and the contract fails. At first I thought this is because the satellite is assigned to the 3rd contract, but it seems that no matter in which of the two target orbits I deploy the satellite the contract still fails. Since I don't have enough stages unlocked I'm deploying the satellites by activating their deployer part manually. Just thought I'd mention that in case it could play into the issue.
