I believe the above used to be possible before the recent update as I remember at times using it before. However, now it's not working, and only works for the MFD panel, which is very handy.

Whilst playing around, I realised that it's now only possible to select parts to bring up part properties through the Camera part view or Pilot first person camera only when the game has been paused.

I'd like to suggest perhaps in a new update, enabling real time part selection to bring up part properties via Camera part view or Pilot first person view.

Part properties can be quite handy most of the time as the menu allows you to activate or deactivate certain parts or explode them whilst playing the game. It can be helpful especially when staging has been done wrong or action groups have mistakenly wrongly assigned to certain electronic parts. When these parts are in difficult to reachor to view places, using a camera can be quite helpful. When making control panels with some activations connected to some parts, it's quite handy to use the pilot's first person view.

Say, for example, you have put multiple lights in certain places on a craft or build and you've forgotten to assign activate groups and you don't want to relaunch for progress' and time's sake. When there are cameras in certain places or pilot's view offers accessible view, then you can select the lights one by one by clicking or tapping on them and turn them on from the part properties menu.

Another example is if staging hasnt been checked and mishaps happen where it's wrong. Let's say for instance an engine starts ignition before desired time, most likely simultaneous ignitions upper and lower stage engines. If you happen to put cameras at aft ends of stages, you can use a camera to turn the upper stage engine off.
