It would be nice to have a small button to the side of the name of each craft to rename it from the "resume flight" menu, just like it's now possible to do in the map view during flight.

I would like to be able to name the stages in the editor.
For examples:
Stage 1: "DeltaIV Strap-on Boosters"
Stage 2: "DeltaIV Core Booster"
Stage 3: "DCSS"
Stage 4: "Lunar Express Orbiter"
Stage 5: "Lunar Express Rover"

I can't upvote so I comment to say I think this feature is needed.
I think we should even be able to rename crafts inflight.
