This seems to happen intermittently, but leaving the sandbox and loading the craft sometimes accelerates it to 84m/s, which is it's orbit velocity, relative to the ground. Free Energy!
Also, check out my cool rolling rover. Throttle puts up some pistons so it can stand up for no practical reason and slider 1 extends a docking port which doesn't work probably because it's scaled to .5x.

@AndrewGarrison it was the rolling rover on the ground (smars). I just left and re-entered the level a few times, and eventually find myself with some sideways energy.

The rollover rocket is cool. Sorry that the docking port doesn't work. Most likely you are correct that it's the scale that causes it to not work.
I'm having trouble reproducing the free energy bug. Is there a specific craft that does it? Is it grounded crafts only?
