Having a part/modifier (both would be ideal) which could procedurally generate smoke effects would be a really nice edition.

The part could derive from the Fuselage class to have all the same connection/modelling components

Parameters that could make sense:
Origin
Direction
Speed curve
Size curve
Colour (material based)
Opacity curve
Frequency
Duration
Spread/Noise

Wide range of potential uses:
Custom engine plumes
Smoke devices (like acrobatic aircraft)
Detail smoke effects (like a little burst as part of coupling/decoupling)
etc.

Short term:
part only (no modifier), smoke only

Long term:
modifier, other effects such as sparks, water...
