Transferring Crew through docking ports

It would be fantastic if we could move our crew between crafts without performing an EVA. Could be implemented the same way as fuel lines, where a part could be designated as crew accessible and could then be used to move crew between craft if a docking port is connected. If it is designated as crew accessible, it would not be able to hold fuel with exception to electricity.
