Simple idea really, in part using this website's pre-etablished creation sharing pathways, facilitate a "cast to [insert other edition]" functionality.

Hear me out, I've put some thought into this. So to begin with, let's establish that the first step would be to auto-sync creation and save-state data between all devices sharing an account. Instead of each individual device having its own lists of saved crafts, systems, celestial bodies, save games, etc, a publicly unlisted server stores essentially a live copy of those saves, that being used to sync said saves upon opening or un-suspending JNO on a different device. Make sure there's a one-time opt-in with the update that introduces all of this and give the community notice and step by step instructions for taking advantage of said opt-in to get all their saves in order on one device before using it to create their initial server save.
-Note this does mean offline play would need to be limited to a single device between connected periods to avoid data/progress loss.

I'd faithfully leave it to you guys to take the implementation from there, so now I just want to go over what this would look like for someone playing. You're in the craft designer on your Android device because the touch interface is familiar/accessible for you. You get ready to fly it, but you want better performance than what your Android device offers. Instead of going through the process of creating an unlisted upload of your designer state, then opening it from the web on your PC, you just unsuspend JNO on your PC. JNO is force-suspended on your Android device, and upon loading, your designer is in the exact same state on your PC as it was on your Android device. Same crew loaded in the same spots, same pieces floating in the same places, same piece highlighted if there was one, same menus open if there were any. The only thing possibly lacking is, maybe, any text being typed into a field but never actually entered. Now imagine that same functionality whether you're in the designer, or one of the sub-menus of the main menu, or somewhere off in settings, designing systems, actively in simulation, getting funky with your Vizzy, whatever.

I've saved the meat and bones for last. I think establishing this functionality is the key to making a console release worthwhile despite the interface limitations. Y'all have me on discord if ya wanna hear my thoughts further in that regard ^^
