failed max speed challenge because i went too fast

as you can see, i failed the max speed challenge despite travelling almost four times as fast as the challenge asks for and not reaching the time limit.
Edit: upon further inspection it appears my craft was destroyed, no message popped up saying i'd flown too close to the sun and I've been closer in the past.
