Take a craft with solar panels and put it in the hangar where at no point it gets sunlight. Make sure the solar panel is facing towards the sun but is not getting sunlight. The solar panel should be able to get power normally. Finally, take control of another craft. You will see that the solar panel is getting normal power.

What's the precise issue you're referring to? That the solar panels can still charge even if they are in a shadow?
