note i am using a craft with 6k parts but this happens regardless of graphical options and still occurs at high framerates and happens every 10 seconds while using the menues and even when writing this bug report

I think it's probably caused by the menu refreshing every time you click in the blanks, which is more like an entire graphical redraw. Instead of just blocking the menu
