Map view exists in skybox/Camera lock after Drood is destroyed

First, I had taken control of a drood, then destroyed him whilst my camera was focused on him. I then proceeded to let the house fly a good ways away, then blew up the chip. Afyer figuring out the camera was locked, I opened map vew to delete the now uncontrollable craft. I switched back and was greeted with this.
