Sometimes large arrows are useful, sometimes they're not. For construction/manipulation of very fine or small parts, the current gizmo arrow size is too large and gets in the way of the construction and it makes it difficult to view sizes and positions. Let us select arrow size while constructing by adding a tick box or slider in the context menu of each tool being used.

Good idea. :) Right now, they only change when you zoom in.
Alternatively, the game could change the size of the gizmos based on the relative size of the piece and/or craft.
