If you display the bank angle and Angle of attack the same time,you can see that the two things are the same.I think that this is a bug.I wish that any Dev saw this and fix it.

@AndrewGarrison This is really a bug. Check this craft. I wrote a program to log both "angle of attack" and "bank angle" every second. If you view the log, you will find they are always the same at any situation.

@AndrewGarrison NO,I change the angle of the spaceship in space many times,and in every situation,the two navigations are the same.You can do a try to verify what i said,this is bug undoubtedly.

In this case, your velocity is tangent to the surface, so I believe it makes sense they would be the same.
